Missions

Making disciples who make other disciples is the spiritual expectation of all Christ-followers. At Central Baptist Church disciple making  begins in our personal spheres of influence and expands outward to the ends of the earth.  We desire to Encourage, Equip, and Empower others to make and multiply disciples through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Whether it is at the city park, helping a needy family, or traveling around the world we want to live on-mission in order to make much of Jesus!

Pastor Jerry Vincent leads short-term mission trips to Romania in an effort to encourage existing congregations and help plant new churches in the area surrounding Transylvania. Working alongside local pastors and missionaries, we are able to assist with disciple-making efforts as well as humanitarian undertakings. From  the home base of Sighisoara, we provide support for war refugees as well as food for people living along the neighboring border of war-torn Ukraine. Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Central Baptist Church serves as a worldwide partner in order to provide shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children around the globe. Shoeboxes are shipped at Christmas time to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease. Each box includes a presentation of the gospel in the children’s own language.
Our Operation Christmas Child team works year-round to gather items and to prepare shoeboxes for shipment. CBC provides 700+ boxes each year. We would love to have you join our team!
