The Wise Ol' Owls

The Wise Ol' Owls was originally formed as a fellowship and travel group for the Senior Adult members of Central Baptist Church and friends by past pastor and wife, Wallace and Suzie Watkins. True to the original purpose, the WOO group still meets on the 2nd Monday of each month over lunch, fellowship, and a short program. Monthly outings are also planned so look for opportunities to explore places in East Texas and beyond together. Anyone is welcome to join this group as we seek to share life together as God’s “more mature” children.

Service

Our senior adults are a vital part of all the ministries at Central Baptist Church.  The Kitchen Crew  Crew is an important part of our church’s ministry providing meals and receptions for church activities, funerals, anniversaries, and other occasions. Volunteers are always needed to help cook, decorate, and clean up after an activity. Please contact the church office for more information on how to help serve in this capacity.
